When was the last time a piece of B2B content made you feel something? Find out the three steps all communicators must take to…
Read InsightsEmma Ross and Nicola Koronka launched Missive at the end of 2014, cementing an idea for a new kind of tech PR consultancy, combining the best of in-house and agency experiences.
Missive was established on two founding principles: a promise to reimagine the “agency” workplace, and a commitment to industry-leading work. These principles are as relevant today as they were at our kitchen tables almost a decade ago.
Early in our journey, the Missive Massive was born, our annual adventure that rewards and celebrates our team. This inaugural 2016 trip took us to Manhattan. Every year we travel to a new destination beginning with ‘M’ to reconnect with each other, learn and, most of all, have fun.
We grow to meet our goals to give new opportunities and career paths to our people, and to deliver industry-leading tech PR and comms. Our revenue in 2017 saw Missive join the PRWeek Top 50 UK Tech PR Consultancy rankings for the first time, a community we are proud to be a growing part of year on year.
In 2019 we first won PRWeek’s Best Place to Work award. It became the first of many workplace accolades, signalling our commitment to workplace excellence. We strive to attract and retain a diverse group of bright minds through and our outstanding workplace culture - the beating heart of Missive.
In 2020, as part of our growing ESG commitments, we built our own PRCA-accredited work experience programme, Missive Academy Rising Stars, or ‘MARS’. We encourage those from diverse backgrounds to learn more about and consider a career in PR. To date more than 50% of participants have told us they have secured a PR job within six months of finishing the programme.
In 2021, we adapted to the new comms landscape by investing in our media and influencer relations services, diversifying our proposition across digital, content, and marketing. We became even more data driven with the launch of Missive Analytics. We invested further in enhancing Missive Studio, our creative and content practice.
Following one of the fastest periods of growth in our history, we recognised we needed to do more as a member of the global tech PR industry. We made changes geared to increase the diversity of our team and we architected our own ESG Charter. Both of these commitments are continuous journeys for the business.
Staying true to our founding principle to industry-leading work, we have deepened our commitment to deliver meaningful and measurable impact to clients through the launch of our analytics service, White Space Signals. Everything we do for clients is underpinned by a passion for work that drives business outcomes.
