Content strategy advances HMD Global sustainability agenda

The Brief 

HMD Global is on a mission to “connect the world without costing the earth.” From responsible sourcing to increasing the durability and longevity of its products for customers, environmental stewardship is a core value to HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for phones and tablets. 

We were tasked with drafting and delivering the company’s very important GRI Annual Sustainability Report. The report highlighted HMD Global’s refreshed ESG strategy and shone spotlights on the brand’s demonstrable progress towards its targets. 

The Activity 

We helped HMD Global to evaluate its progress in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and produce a streamlined report, which was both engaging and accessible for all HMD Global’s key audiences. 

The Impact 

  • Communicated HMD’s mission,’ Connecting the world without costing the earth’ to employees, customers, partners and investors. 

  • Helped HMD Global to achieve ‘Platinum’ status by EcoVadis – putting it in the top 1% of companies globally 

Following the success of the report, Missive has drafted HMD Global’s Annual Reports in both 2021 and 2022.
