We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Micrima, a pioneering medical technology company accelerating early-stage breast cancer detection. Under the retainer, the Missive team will be leading the PR and communications efforts to spread awareness about Micrima's innovative solutions.
Our campaign will kick off with a focus on generating national awareness in the UK, before expanding across Europe. We're combining our expertise in healthcare technology with our passion for impactful public interest campaigns to help Micrima create a new market for their groundbreaking technology.
Micrima develops innovative non-ionising technology that supports the early diagnosis of breast cancer, effective for women of all ages and breast densities. Their flagship product, Mi~Scan®, measures breast tissue properties before a mammogram, enabling clinicians to choose the best imaging technique for each patient's breast tissue composition.
Over half of women over the age of 40 have dense breasts, which makes mammograms ineffective at spotting cancerous tumours on screenings. However, UK regulations currently mean that healthcare providers are not obliged to share this information with patients. As a result, early detection of cancers can be missed.
"We've been on an incredible journey these past few months, and partnering with Missive feels like the perfect next step," said Adrian Waller, Chief Executive Officer at Micrima. "Their energy and expertise are exactly what we need to spread the word. We feel that we're on the cusp of something truly transformative in women's health, and with Missive on board it's an even more exciting time for Micrima, our supporters, and most importantly, for the future of breast cancer detection."
As a team, we're deeply honoured to support Micrima in their mission. This cause is particularly close to our hearts, with our own Co-founder Emma Ross being a cancer survivor. It gives us extra motivation to succeed and make a real difference.
"We're eager to leverage our expertise in the healthtech sector to drive awareness and ultimately help save lives through earlier detection of breast cancer," said Emma Ross, Co-founder and Chief People Officer at Missive. "This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to working on projects that have a significant positive impact on society."
We're excited to support Micrima over the coming months, combining our communications expertise with their innovative technology to potentially transform breast cancer detection and save lives.
