At Missive, we have one simple mantra: we do the right thing.
We’re passionate about positively impacting the lives of our people, our clients and our communities. This led us to raise more than £20,000 for Macmillan over the past three years, a feat which we’ll forever be proud of.
We’re now ready for our next charity challenge, however. For this reason, we’re taking a stand against suicide in support of CALM. This means standing against feeling rubbish, standing up to stereotypes, and standing together to show life is always worth living.
Why CALM? At present, 125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this.
In 2022, CALM answered over 160,000 calls and webchats. That's more than 3 million minutes of talking to people who need them. This achievement has only been possible thanks to the generousity of CALMs extraordinary supporters.
We kicked off our fundraising in July, hiking in silence to the summit of Col de Coux, 2000 meters above sea level. The challenge was both physically and mentally challenging, saw us work as a team, and allowed us to reflect on the devastation of suicide.
Over the coming months we’ll continue to test our endurance, host exciting events and take on both solo and group challenges to raise £10,000 for an exceptional charity. Watch this space!
Our success relies on your fantastic support – please spare any change you can.
