Project Nemo has been named winner of the "Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative" at Harrington Starr's Top 1% Workplace Awards 2024. The recognition highlights the impact the project is already having on disability inclusion within fintech and financial services.
Over the past year, Project Nemo has spearheaded an industry-wide conversation around disability inclusion. From its Accessible Finance podcast through to targeted media campaigns, and strategic partnerships, the project has successfully brought disability inclusion to the forefront of industry discussions. This includes speaking opportunities at key events such as Pay360 and in a standalone Disability Inclusion seminar with the Payments Association.
Whitney Simon, Head of DE&I Consulting at Missive, said: "This is truly a colossal win for Project Nemo. When we first spoke with Jo about the campaign's purpose to raise awareness of disability in the fintech sector, her vision was crystal clear. One year later, we've created an initiative that's making disability inclusion a genuine talking point in businesses. It's incredible.
“This success demonstrates the power of bringing together people with a shared passion. Whilst it's easy to think that meaningful change requires massive actions or big brand names, Project Nemo proves that real transformation often comes from many smaller, purposeful steps taken together."
This win is a testament to the Project Nemo team’s hard work. At Missive we’ve proudly supported their drive for real change in disability inclusion across the fintech and financial services community.
